Spring 2017 Career Fair

The career fair offers general and industry-specific career and internship opportunities to students of all years. Attending one the Hofstra University bi-annual career fairs is a great way to meet with employers from the community, the tri-state area, and throughout the nation.

Zarb School of Business at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island

Frank G. Zarb School of Business students prepare meals for the more than 90 residents of the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island and other Ronald McDonald Houses around the world, care for the families of chronically ill children. Their mission is to be a “home away from home”, as they provide not only the parents of the ill children, but siblings as well, with a temporary haven in a secure and comfortable environment among other families sharing a similar burden.

Dedicating A New Torah

The dedication of a new Torah is traditionally celebrated with great festivity, and the specifics of the celebration vary from one community to the next. On Sunday, April 2, 2016 the Columbia-Barnard Kraft Center Hillel received their new Torah with great celebration. 

Hempstead For Hofstra - Hofstra For Hempstead

he Hempstead for Hofstra/Hofstra for Hempstead Committee also strengthens the bond between the Village of Hempstead and Hofstra University with the annual presentation of the prestigious Unispan Award to individuals whose professional or personal lives have enriched the Hempstead community. The award, named for the original pedestrian bridge over Hempstead Turnpike that unites Hofstra’s north and south campuses, symbolizes the close ties between the University and the Village of Hempstead.
